Jewish Heritage Tour:

Our walking-tour Jewish Heritage in Budapest is designed to acquaint you with the life, culture and history of the largest Central European Jewish  diaspora.
With the guidance of our English-speaking guide you will be introduced to the history and to the most important buildings and monuments of the Jewish district in Budapest.

 
1-1,5 hour Essential Tour : the recently renovated Dohány Street Synagogue, the Jewish Museum, the Holocaust Cemetery. Price: 2500 HUF (approx. 7,5 €)

2,5 hours Long tour : the recently renovated Dohány Street Synagogue, the Jewish Museum, the Holocaust Cemetery,  the Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Park and the Tree of Life. During our walk in the former ghetto area we are passing by the Carl Lutz Memorial, the Rumbach Street Synagogue, the Király Street, the Gozsdu Court and the center of the orthodox Jewish community, the Kazinczy Street Synagogue. Price: 5600 HUF (approx. 14 €)

3 hours Grand Tour : After our approx.imately 2,5 hours tour, you can take a rest in a nearby restaurant where you will be offered a snack of traditional Eastern European Jewish dishes. Restaurant is not kosher. Price: 6400 HUF (approx. 26 €)

Jewish Budapest

Meeting point is at the entrance of the Hotel Le Meridien, on Erzsébet square.
We shall visit the world's second largest Synagogue and the Jewish Museum (inside visit), the Jewish Cemetery, the Tree of Life and the Heroes' Monument. We shall walk around in the ancient Jewish Ghetto and visit an orthodox synagogue. This program ends at a restaurant where it is possible to taste special Jewish dishes. (Charge not included)

The synagogues and the Museum reserve the right of cancellation.

JEWISH BUDAPEST

During this tour we show you the most important Jewish Monuments of the Hungarian Capital and the world’s second largest Synagogue. We walk through the former Jewish ghetto and visit the Dohány Street Synagogue and the Jewish Museum (interior visits). Next we show you the famous Tree of Life, Temple of Heroes and the Cemetery in the Jewish Garden. After the short walk you have the possibility to enjoy coffee and cake at a local pastry shop. The tour ends in the Jewish Quarter.

No tours during holidays and on special occasions.
